26 things I learned in 26 years

April 11, 2019

Hey friends! How are y’all doing? I just got back home from Sydney and I haven’t been that much active online while I was there until today, because so many things were happening. I was adjusting to the new environment, bonding with family, traveling around and spending time still healing some of my wounds from the past (because a high-vibe environment is perfect for that). I was also savoring and anchoring every moment I was there.

What I mean to say now is I’m back! I also just celebrated my birthday this April 5 (Arian gals, make noise!) so I thought, why not publish a blog post about the 26 lessons I learned in 26 years, instead of my pre-planned blog post?

I’m 26! I’m very young years-wise and there are still sooo much that I had to experience in life and lessons to learn, (which I’m so looking forward to), but this past 26 years had taught me so much that I actually felt like a wise woman in her 50s. So, I think I owe it to the universe (for being such a crazy teacher) to share these lessons to you.

This would be a long list, so, I suggest you grab a cuppa tea, hon. We’re gonna have some deep soulful convos today.

You don’t need permission or validation from anyone.

Like srsly, you can be whoever you wanna be, do whatever you wanna do, have whatever you wanna have (just try to stay away from something illegal, bru).

As long as you’re following your truth and not what other people want you to follow, you’re doing good.

I mean, my job is a freaking lightworker. And at first, I had a hard time deciding whether to take this path or not. It was not even considered a real job by some people. Some people would even think I’m nuts.

But I know that in my heart that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. And one day, I realize how I was holding myself back, because the truth is, I can be whoever I wanna be, and people can suck it (so much for a lightworker lol).

So, open that business, write that book, do that thing that you hold yourself back from (because you’re waiting for outside validation). Take back your power and follow your heart now if you ever find yourself needing permission from anyone.

There is always a positive side in every situation.

No matter how bad the situation looks like, there is always a good side to it. And focusing on that and expressing gratitude about it will help you handle things better.

Expressing how grateful I was in hard times was not easy, but it’s definitely worth it because having faith lead me to my healing.

Thank you for my trauma, because if not for them, I won’t access high levels of consciousness that allowed me to access gifts that I never knew I had. Thank you for difficult people in my life, because they made me realize my true worth. Thank you for poverty, because now I know how to value my abundance when it comes. Thank you for having my heart badly broken, because now I know how to choose the right people to welcome into my heart. Thank you for the hardships I had to endure, because I became this strong brave woman.

There is always an upside to everything, and choosing to dwell on that gave me hope that brought me where I am today – happy, healed and in bliss.

Loving your body is necessary.

I’d always hated my body. I hated my big boobs because they hurt my back and they’re holding me back from doing jumpy workouts (running is such a hustle). I hated my legs because they’re too big for my body. I hated that I’m fat because I would always feel weak and lazy to move. I hated that I had acne from the slightest cause (eating cheese would cause me massive breakouts). I hated my face because I wasn’t pretty enough.

I hated everything about how I looked. And that reflected when I was starving myself one minute and then binge-eating the next. I would just do things that would destroy this sacred temple.

One day I realized what I was doing wrong. Hating my body didn’t help me at all. Hating my body was the reason why I was unhealthy. And that loving my body – my whole being – is the first step to healing it.

Every failure is a step forward to what you really want.

I can’t remember how many times I’ve already failed in my life. And I used to feel ashamed about them. Now, I consider them as reminders of how much I’m trying. I’m actually in celebratory mode whenever I experience failures.

I mean think about it. If I didn’t try, there’s no chance of me failing in the process. And having said that, never experiencing failures doesn’t seem to be a compliment at all now, does it?

Failing also made me gain clarity, and tweak things along the way. It’s an opportunity for growth. It’s an opportunity to right a wrong, or try another strategy that works. It’s a path towards finally getting the right thing done.

Emptiness is a call from the divine.

Ever felt empty that you wanna stuff food in your mouth? Maybe hit a cigarette? Go mindless shopping? Gambling? Or maybe turn to social media to have a fill of attention?

Most people feel empty. But what most people do is fill that emptiness with something else. And this can turn into addictions.

When I reflected on it, I realized that emptiness was one of divine’s way of calling us. And it will only stop once we answer this call.

I learned that divine connection removes the emptiness for good. So, the next time you feel this way, go to a quiet place, pray, meditate and reach out to the source. I actually insist you do this daily.

Judgment is ignorance. Empathy will heal the world.

Judgment is one of the reasons why the world is sick the way it is today. Judgment creates division that could lead to far more serious things like hatred, resentment, and wars (that escalated quickly, but every big thing starts small). But if everyone in the world chooses to see the good in others, and to believe that everyone actually wants to be good (even the “bad” ones who just happen to be incorporated with the worst factors), we will definitely have a better world.

And think about it. The way we judge others is how we judge ourselves too. That’s not helping anybody at all.

Release judgment. It will not only free yourself, but others too.

Attachments to things will only hold you back.

The more you chase what you want, the more you don’t get it. This is because the energy of lack and desperation will only create more of lack and desperation.

Plus, your attachment to anything or anyone take away your power.

Learn the art of loving something/someone without being attached to them. (I teach this in my manifestation course!)

There is no point of going towards a goal when you’re not enjoying the journey.

I’d always believed in the hustle game. That I had to work 16 hour days to be able to experience my dreams, even though it’s making me miserable.

I was wrong. You don’t have to sell your soul to be happy.

This came from my limiting belief that “I have to work so hard to achieve my dreams.” I let go of this story and now I’m experiencing my manifestations with ease.

I realized, that hustling and always grinding is such a masculine thing to do. I have more feminine energy in me, and the best way to handle things is to align and flow.

So have fun and practice self-care while taking inspired action. It’s possible!

Your worth is not tied to what you be, do and have.

I happen to experience losing everything that I had in one go. And I felt like a worthless person since.

But I realized, this is a huge lesson that I had to learn. That no amount of money, love or mistakes that I did will take away my worthiness. I realized that for me to feel worthy again, I just have to believe that I’m worthy, because being worthy is my birthright. My worthiness comes from within.

You are worthy of love. You are worthy of abundance. You are worthy of a great life no matter what.

Comparison is ignorance.

Comparing your life to someone else’s doesn’t make sense at all. There are so many factors that make up a human being: gender, culture, environment, media, zodiac signs, programmed beliefs, etc. To compare another person to yourself is just ridiculous.

Plus, comparison just brings you negative vibes, and that ain’t good for your manifestation process.

Focus on your life. You are doing great, love.

Patience is the best skill to master in this era.

If you have patience in this time, you are very close to winning in life.

There are so many tools available to you now to make things happen easier. You can create a business without having to leave the house. You can order anything online and have them delivered to your doorstep. You can have the information you need with just a few taps of your finger. Anything is possible now.

But if you don’t have the patience to wait for things to allow it’s slow growth, you will struggle. Make sure to exercise your patience every once in a while.

Sometimes, you will feel like an impostor for going after big dreams, and that’s okay.

Even the most successful people still feel like an impostor at times. It’s human and it’s normal.

What’s important is you keep showing up, and do the work you were meant to do, because a lot of people are hungry for your gifts.

You are exactly where you need to be – always.

I had been in situations where I was so messed up and all over the place, and now I realize, that phase has to happen in order for me to move forward.

That sucky moment you’re in? You need that. No matter where you are in life right now, you are meant to be there. You are not running behind. You are exactly where you need to be.

So trust the process. You’re doing just fine.

Pain exists to teach you a lesson.

Every pain exists to teach us a lesson. The problem with most humans is that we numb out this pain, when we should be looking closely at what it is trying to teach us.

And until this lesson is learned, it will never go away. Sometimes, the universe even sends us massive setbacks that would make us wake the hell up because we’re too stubborn to change.

I learned to not ignore any pain I experience, because whenever I do, things just get worse. I’d rather solve it when it’s still small. I’d rather spend time reflecting on what it’s trying to teach me because I know that if I did, I’ll go the next level of growth.

I don’t do well with deadlines and that’s okay.

Some exercises are not for me. I function well during the PM. Coffee makes me sleepy. The 9-5 grind makes me sick. I can’t sleep less than 8 hours or I’ll feel mega crappy. I’m adventurous but heights scare me more than anything. If I didn’t go out at least once every day, I’ll be extremely moody.

The point is, some things doesn’t work out for me than they do for other people, and that’s totally okay.

People are different, and it’s safe for me to only embrace what works for me. This way, I’ll be living a life I enjoy a lot and one that’s a perfect fit to my own preferences.

I mean, don’t you just love a life designed to your own design?

Expectations is a happiness killer.

Letting go of expectations and control is one of the most liberating things I ever did.

Acceptance of what is > Expectations = Bliss

Choosing who you surround yourself is a huge deal.

I used to be surrounded by people who don’t believe in what I do. Because of this, I doubt myself everyday whether what I was doing was right.

Until one day, I went to a place where people connected with me. I realized it wasn’t me all along. It was just that I was hanging out with the wrong tribe.

It’s really all about the vibes. Finding people who share the same goals and values will help you uplevel your life.

Self-love is necessary to thrive.

Like srsly, self-love is what the world needs. Imagine if everyone has full love tanks. There are so much love to give. Ugh, earth would be such a wonderful place to be.

Setting better boundaries is key.

If you want to be happy, be willing to say NO more often.

It’s not being rude. It’s called self-respect (because you’re important too).

Living your truth will bring you freedom.

It’s an act of self-acceptance. It’s your way of showing yourself that you do you.

And there will definitely be people who will be madly in love with you just for showing your truth.

Embracing growth is necessary.

Live your truth, but be open to change. You are meant to experience your highest potential for you to reach your goals. You deserve to experience the best life.

Your intuition is your best friend.

She knows what’s the right thing to do. Always follow her advice.

Be happy now.

Not when you achieve your dream body, earn your income goal or marry your soulmate. Now. This very present moment. When your life is imperfect. There are so many reasons to be happy about, no matter where you are now. Celebrate life.

You are a co-creator of your life.

You totally have the power to create the life that you want. Just ask the universe to give you what you want, and she will hand it to you.

Your vibes are everything.

Make sure that you are always upleveling, so you’d keep attracting the high-vibe stuff to you.

And lastly, love is the answer to everything.

Cliche as it may sound, but love is really the answer to every single wrong thing in this world.
